How to Use PixMarker

A step-by-step guide to mark up photos, annotate images, and share your work.

PixMarker lets you open photos, draw shapes, add text, blur or magnify areas, and save or share your marked-up images. Follow these steps to get started and make the most of the app.

1. Install the app and grant permissions

Download PixMarker from the App Store and open it. When prompted, allow access to your Photo Library and Camera so you can choose existing photos or take new ones to mark up. You can change these permissions later in your device Settings if needed.

2. Choose an image

From the main screen, open your photo grid (or camera) and select the image you want to annotate. The image opens in the editor so you can start marking it up.

3. Mark up your image

Use the toolbar to add annotations:

  • Draw shapes – Arrows, rectangles, circles, lines, freehand pen, and more.
  • Crop – Trim the image or crop it into different shapes (e.g. rectangle, circle).
  • Blur – Blur or pixelate areas to hide sensitive information.
  • Magnify – Zoom into a part of the image to highlight detail.
  • Color and thickness – Change the color and stroke thickness of your drawings and shapes for clarity.
  • Text – Add text labels or notes anywhere on the image.

Tap a tool, then draw or tap on the image. Adjust colors and thickness from the tool options as needed.

4. Capture a webpage as an image and mark it

You can capture a web page as an image and then annotate it. Use the option to capture or import a webpage (e.g. from the in-app browser or share sheet), then use the same markup tools to draw, blur, add text, or highlight areas before saving or sharing.

5. Save and share your marked image

When you’re done, save the image in HD (PNG or JPG). Use the Share button to send it by message, email, or any app – your marked-up image is ready to share with anyone.

6. Customize tools (order and visibility)

In Settings, you can:

  • Change tool order – Arrange the toolbar so your favorite tools are where you want them.
  • Disable tools – Hide tools you don’t use to keep the toolbar simple.

7. Send feedback

We’d love to hear from you. In the app, open Settings and look for Send Feedback, Rate the app, or similar options. Your feedback helps us improve PixMarker.
